Tool to Check the PageRank of All Links on a Page

Normally I would not reference such tools as PageRank is not as important as it used to be, but this neat tool is done very nice and is worth the love… It takes any page’s address, and then presents it with all the link’s target PageRank.

MSN is “New to Search”

I missed this post last week, but the long-awaited Microsoft excuse post for their 3.5 hours outage last week was finally posted on Friday evening. What can they really say?
#1: “First of all, we’d like to apologize for the lateness of this blog post.”
#2: “Second, we’d like to apologize for the outage itself.”
Which sounds fair […]

Google No-Death Ad Policy

Surprisingly Google is showing some consideration to it’s users, even it’s free users at Gmail. A recent thread at V7N reads:
Someone told me about this yesterday…and I’m wondering if anyone else has heard of it. You know how you get relevant ads in your gmail? Well, someone told me that if you type in something […]

MSN Search, Where Are You?

MSN’s search engine has aparently been down for several hours today. Threadwatch noted over 3 hours of downtime between 8:35am and 12:00pm (PST), and even then, as search homepage appeared, it still returned the error message:
This service is currently unavailable
Our team is working to restore service as quickly as possible. Please try […]

Old Search Engine, New Category

This has been long waited, and I’ve tried to ignore it. Baidu IS a player in the search engine world. In fact, it still carries 50% of searches made in China who has (as of this moment) over 1.3 Billion, yes, that’s the one with the nine zeros.
It’s shares don’t rock the house as much […]

The Head Lemur joins Microsoft - Another April Fools Headline

Following my April fools in the search post, I got pinged that “The Head Lemur is to Join Microsoft” to fill Scobles (who left to Google) position.
Sources close to Management have confirmed that this move has been in the offing for some time, since it was brought to their attention that Robert has lost control […]

More April Fools Pranks

I guess that party has already started, and the pranks are here, abit of what’s been going on so far:

Google had announced Google Romance, a new [free] match making site “Contextual Dating option, which offers an all-expenses-paid romantic evening in exchange for viewing contextually relevant advertising […]
