Microsoft seems to be in the news today… I’ve already posted about their spam paper and possible Comcast deal and now I read that:
Microsoft partnered with Lenovo Forge who will now install the Live.com toolbar and homepage on all their shipped systems.
Microsoft to pay firms for staff usage of Live.com.

More than 30% of SERPS for Some Terms - Spam

Microsoft Research had recently released a paper [PDF] titled Spam Double-Funnel: Connecting Web Spammers with Advertisers. The paper categorized SERPS by industry and is showing that some categories such as drugs and ringtones include as much as 30% spam in their SERPS.
