Google added some interesting stats to its gadget directory. These stats list the amount of users and pageviews for all gadgets with more than 1000 users. The default gadgets seem to lead the pack with the amount of users, over 1,000,000 users each:

Google presented today a new program called Google Gadget Ventures aimed at funding the development and improvement of new gadgets. This new pilot programs breaks into funding options, grants and seed investment.
