Careerjet - The Little Job Search Engine That Could
Careerjet is a global job search engine you probably haven’t yet heard of yet, even though it currently features around 5.5 million job listings for the U.S. alone. Careerjet’s current international network includes separate search engines in over 20 languages, for 56 countries. Each search engine features an interface and job listings in the language localized to the job seeker audience. Job listings are crawled and aggregated using semantic analysis technology, a powerful new trend in online search.
Currently celebrating its 8th year, Careerjet has just launched several new products, including public API, start-up sites for Russain and Emerati job seekers, and an inventive affiliate program that involves both online and offline partners. Web publishers can now embed Careerjet’s widgets and other promotional features on their sites in exchange for traffic-based payment. The second part of the affiliate program involves offline partners, in which Freelance Sales Agents can register with Careerjet to market job advert space to recruiter clients. These sales agents then receive a 30% commission on their clients’ expenditures.
The brainchild of two Frenchmen restless with their lucrative yet unsatisfying corporate day jobs (one of whom was a top engineer at Yahoo!), Careerjet is becoming a serious competitor in the e-recruitment sphere.
I was checking it earlier for some IT jobs in my area and the results of the search look really good. Try it out.
