by Gilad on October 2nd, 2005

On Friday, Google kept on tweaking its popular Gmail service adding several new features such as contact exporting, auto-save, and new new access and search features.

Access to Gmail will now be easier with 3 different methods: 1. One-click from the Gmail-enabled Google Toolbar. 2. See your new messages directly from your personalized Google.com homepage. and 3. Search for messages even when you’re offline using the new Google Desktop.

For those tho use Gmail contacts, a new ‘Export’ button was added, allowing the option for Outlook CSV (Comma Separated Value) format or Gmail CSV for exporting to new Gmail accounts.

Lastly, auto-save, is a feature allowing automatic saving of messages and can be used in case of browser or computer crush. It saves all the information automatically while you write it.
