GMail is Now Free-For-All

by Gilad on February 8th, 2007

gmail-logo.gifWhile some of you may not realize it, until yesterday Gmail was an invite-only service. Today, however, it is finally free-for-all.

The service that was sought-after by many since 2004, and whose invites sold on eBay at $250 a pop and who everyone and their grandma has already opened an account with, had quietly dropped the invite-requirement and is now up for the grab.

Just a note that as any Google product, GMail is still in Beta after 2.5 years in existence.
