Google UI Test Adds Stock Symbols

by Gilad on February 19th, 2007

A new Google UI (user interface) test is pointed out by the Threadwatch guys. Apparently, Google is trying to implement stock symbols into its serps and had done so, in this occasion at least, in a very clean way.

In this test they added a little drop-down box which, when appears, shows the current price along with high and low for the day. It includes a small outline of the company with a “more” button which links to the appropriate Google Finance page for company.

Since I am not sure if this is only a test of if it is going to be permanent, I added some screenshots of before and after the drop-down.

This one is before:
