I don’t really fault Google for having some fun with their blog, however, you definitely don’t see that type of post on MSN’s blog. It probably just has to do with difference in culture, although the point you make is valid and interesting.

In the end, though, it’s all about innovation so maybe Google’s PR department is trying to misdirect us with pictures of donuts. ;-)

Well, I dont like Google, they’re just trying to be cool. It’s like “hey see we gave 1gig for your email no it was not an Arpil’s Fool” then “hey look we’ve added a counter at the bottom of your Gmail just to show you how cool we are” and now, yeh we got a fun blog, we’re not just freaking nerds”…
that’s how google died.
