Hidden Treasure in Expired Domains
A while ago I ran into a database of expired domains. This database is active and updates on a daily basis so I found myself spending the past few days going through thousands of domain names in markets I promote looking for domains with traffic / backlinks which I can benefit from.
So far, I must say that there is a hidden treasure right in front of our eyes. There’s tons of expired domains with .edu, .gov or any official, authoritative, quality backlinks sitting and waiting to be registered. Many have even a high potential for type in traffic, others can be used to redirected to a current site, it is all up to you.
So, the sky is the limit, you just meet to imagine it.

Just remember that you need to first pass a reinclusion request from Google before you can get that PR to make any effect.

I haven’t found this to be an issue, Google doesn’t (yet) blacklist expired domains. Although they did file for a related patent and I believe this is the way they are about to go.
PS. Others results may vary…
