The Twing Experience
Yes, you read that right. It’s ‘Twing’ and not ‘Twin’. And it’s also not ‘Twitter’.
According to one report:
Now, a brand new tool does to online forums what Google does for web pages. It’s called Twing, and it searches the postings in forums and discussion groups.
This should be one interesting search engine for it can be used to search through forums and discussions. Going through the site, you would be given the option to search for a keyword in posts, in a list of topics, or in forums. The whole search engine is simple and the results are displayed without much clutter so users can go through the lists with ease and find their way to the type of results that they are actually looking for.
Visitors to the site can also find out the latest things happening in various communities through the Community Buzz feature. It does look like the site is still in Beta mode but I think that once it reaches full version, this forum and discussion search engine is going to make it real big.
