Thinking About Black Hat?

by Noel on May 24th, 2008

So you have been trying your hardest to make your site rank high. But you feel like you may wanna just cheat your way into it. Should you go ahead?

Well, just in case you don’t know, black hat technique in SEO is actually deception because you are doing techniques that search engines actually do not want you to do. One of the most common techniques in black hat is through the use of text which is hidden. For example, if I wanted to make this site rank for “search engine news”, then somewhere within this site, I could put in “search engine news” repeatedly. Of course you’re thinking that people could see such. The thing is, the text’s color is changed so that it blends with the background and just vanishes!

But the spiders could see that. And yes, your site may just be penalized. You wouldn’t want that, of course.
