Yahoo v AOL: 116m to 110m
So interesting statistics at E-Commerce Times quoted in a story about AOL moving to provide a lot of its content for free for the first time. Apparently Yahoo attracts 116 million unique viewers across its web properties per month where as AOL is currently doing 110 million, and this with much of its content behind locked doors. Whilst AOL is still using Google for its search capabilities imagine if it decided to go into search itself? That’s a lot of leverage to put into a search product, or for that matter any product, and as the article speculates that the 110m figure is bound to grow as more and more content is opened up to Joe Public.
